    • Found in fresh water like ponds and slow moving streams.
    • Body is soft and enclosed in a spiral yellow color shell.
    • Spiral shell posses 6 ½ whorls
    • Top most whorl is the apex

    • Internally the soft body is covered by mantle and is divided into head, foot, and visceral organs.
    • Head bears a pair of stalked eyes and tentacles which act as a sensory organ.
    • Visceral marks include 2 external types of tissues called mantle

    • It’s a fold of muscular tissue found between the shell and the body of mullusc.
    • The mantle attaches the body to the shell and also helps to secrete the shell.
