DIVISION OF MEASUREMENT STANDARDS BUDGET • General fund reduction of $1.5 million. • No funds for Quantity Verification • No industry support for State funding • DA one time funding for Price Verification • No funds for CTEP • Regulations adopted 12/30/2011 for funding • No funds for Device Enforcement • DMS Administrative Fee Regulations at office of Administrative Law for review – projected date adoption date 02/10/2012 • Metrology Laboratory • General funds through at least 2012/2013 • Weighmaster Enforcement • Working with industry to legislatively increase license fees • Petroleum Enforcement • Working with industry to increase motor oil fee by regulations

  7. 2012 NEW EVENTS • DMS Survey • Demonstrate value to agricultural stakeholders • Focus on agricultural materials (inputs) used by growers, producers, farmers, ranchers in CA • Survey products in 40 counties • Testing timeline February and March, 2012 • Santa Barbara County – POS Ordinance • Process to develop a new ordinance: DMS conducts mini-survey in county, data is used to justify need, presentation made to Board of Supervisors (BOS), vote. • Public hearing before BOS on 2/7/2012
