  1. Stage 3B Non small cell lung cancer Stage III of non-small cell lung cancer is distributed into stages IIIA, IIIB, and IIIC. In stage IIIB of non small cell lung cancer, the tumor grows up to 5 centimeters and spreads to lymph nodes and collarbones. In the IIIB stage cancer has spread to the main bronchus, the innermost layer of the membrane, and forms pneumonitis. Staging: Stage 3B lung cancer is divided into 4 different categories: T1a/T1b/T1c, N3, M0- spread to lymph nodes present near collarbones. T2a/T2b, N3, M0- Has grown into the main branches and surroundings of the lungs. T3, N2, M0- Spread in the inner lining of the chest wall. T4, N2, M0- Grow in the space between the lungs, the heart, the large blood vessels near the heart, the windpipe, the esophagus, the diaphragm, the backbone. • • • • Symptoms: Symptoms of stage 3B of cancer include: Shortness of breath Persistent cough Weight loss Fatigue Hemoptysis Dysphagia Hoarseness • • • • • • • Treatment: Stage 3B is not cured by the surgery rather it is improved with the help of medications. Generally, chemotherapy and radiation therapy are used but sometimes immunotherapy and targeted therapies are also preferred. Chemotherapy: Chemotherapies are used to kill rapidly dividing cancerous cells. Some chemo drugs include Pemetrexed, Paclitaxel, Docetaxel, Gemcitabine, Irinotecan, Vinorelbine. The paclitaxel 100 mg is combined with other chemo drugs for effective results. Targeted therapy: This therapy is done to minimize the damage caused to normal cells. The drugs include Bevacizumab, Erlotinib, and Crizotinib. The erlotinib 150 mg is used in most of the cases after maintenance therapy. Maintenance therapy: This therapy is used after the initial treatment of cancer. The Pemetrexed is used in this therapy.

  2. Several medications are personalized according to the patient’s health. Gefitinib and Everolimus when combined together are quite effective, but everolimus 10 mg when given alone is comparatively less effective. The combination is able to block the growth of tumor cells. The drug gefitinib 250 mg is generally used together with other drugs. The combination of nintedanib and afatinib is also used in the treatment of NSCLC. The nintedanib 150 mg and afatinib 40 mg are combined for an effective result. Apart from all the above mentioned therapy, you can be recommended for the clinical trials, it may help you in order to improve your knowledge about your cancer as well as awareness of developing new treatments. Also there are numerous benefits in order to take part. Additionally, You’ll be carefully monitored during and after the study, and the newer treatment can offer you benefits over existing therapies. It’s crucial to bear in mind, however, that some newer treatments are found not to be as effective as existing treatments or to have adverse reactions that outweigh the advantages.
