1. How To Take Care Of Your Contact Lenses Contact lenses are a blessing to people who require vision correction. The right pair of contact lenses will fit so comfortably and naturally on your eyes, that you won’t even feel any signs of its presence – only clear and sharp vision. Especially for people who have been using spectacles for a long time, using contact lenses is like looking at the world with a fresh set of eyes. To get the best results out of your contact lenses, you have to take care of them religiously and meticulously. These are delicate objects that can get damaged easily. Stick to the following guideline to get the best out of your contact lenses. Keep them clean. 1.Since contact lenses go directly on your eyes, you need to take utmost care in keeping them clean. 2.Wash your hands thoroughly with mild, non-cosmetic soap before and after handling them. Then dry your hands with a clean, lint-free towel. Keep your fingernails trimmed or short, so as to avoid scratches or tears.

Avoid using tap water or saliva to lubricate or clean. 2.You need to ensure that the case that you use to store your contacts stays clean all the time. Regularly washing it with sterile solution or hot water is recommended. The solution in the case also needs to be changed daily. You never know what kind of germs might get transmitted through that. 3.When out in the sun wearing contact lenses, ensure that you have a pair of sunglasses (with total UV protection) handy. Contact lenses can make your eyes more sensitive and susceptible to sunlight. 4.Don’t go swimming with your contact lenses on. They will get washed off or can get contaminated or infected in the water. 5.Never sleep with your lenses on, unless you’re using special “extended wear” contact lenses. Tear formation doesn’t happen easily when your eyes are closed for long periods, causing them to dry out.
