  3. ASEC Monitors • Aragats Neutron Monitor (ArNM) • Nor – Amberd Neutron Monitor (NANM) • Solar Neutron Telescope • Underground Muon Telescope (AMMM) • Muon + Electron Monitor (SNT e,) • Nor – Amberd Muon Telescope • ASEC Monitor’s advantages: • Locations at the points with same cutoff rigidity • Location at 2 altitudes at sea level • Various energetic thresholds

  11. New ElectronicsMini PC and Electronic Module

  12. PCB for Scintillation Detectors

  13. PCB for Neutron Monitors

  14. New electronics Provides: High fidelity Permits: • Make the measurements with any dead time, time series data on the any time period bases • Have the real time spectrum of each detector • To have remote control on high voltage, thresholds (electronic and soft), therefore change it

  15. www.crdlx5.yerphi.am Achievements and Recognitions in the Recent Past 1970’s- Induction into World Network of Neutron Monitors 1997- Induction into World Network of Solar Neutron Telescopes 1999- Noted in the summary of the Cosmic Ray Conference in Salt Lake City, for making key real-time data available on the internet. 2001- Induction into COSPAR – COmmission for SPAce Research. 2002- Named the best Japanese-funded ISTC project. 2003- ASEC’s Data Visualization Interactive Network (DVIN) won the World Summit on Information Society Award for the best content in the e-science category. The competition included 800 projects from 136 countries. The finalists included USA, China and Canada. 2005-All Armenia award for best content in the e-science category. - Inclusion in NASA’s International Heleophysical Year cooperation and listed on the NASA site as one of the world’s key observatories

  16. www.crdlx5.yerphi.am ASEC is an Indispensable Element of the International Effort on Space Weather • In cosmic ray physics the earth in its entirety is a detector. ASEC fills an important gap in the world network of cosmic ray research centers. • Its monitors are located at different altitudes (3200m, 2000m) and have different energy thresholds. • ASEC monitors provide correlated multidimensional data on the temporal evolution of various components and energy thresholds of secondary cosmic ray fluxes • Data from ASEC monitors is available real-time, on line
