  3. How to Create a ‘User Matrix’ • Open WinFIBRE 3.0 • from Main Menu, open Matrix • Select Standard Matrix • Select required Matrix • Edit the Matrix, as required • from Main Menu select File • Save as: assign a filename • eg.sample.mtx Training Sem, June 2003, Vienna

How to Use the ‘User Matrix’ • from Main Menu select File and Open • in the ‘Open’ window, change ‘Files of Type’ to Matrix.files(*.mtx) • Enter or select filename of user matrix file already created • Press Open • from Main Menu, click Matrix • select ‘Select Active Matrix’ Training Sem, June 2003, Vienna

  5. Working with the ‘User-Matrix’ To start creating a new document: • Select ‘File’ • New • New document • Press ‘Tab’-key to copy the information from the matrix into your input document to complete the field(s) Training Sem, June 2003, Vienna

Useful hints for the ‘User Matrix’ • when using an already existing document make sure to select corresponding matrix, eg.sample.mtx (= matrix)sample.inp (= document input file) • make sure to always enter data of record into the document input file (extension: *.inp) • enter in matrix only common data (eg. Report no, Conference tags, etc.) • no individual information in matrix (eg. Author, title) Training Sem, June 2003, Vienna
