AVID Supply List This is a list of AVID materials you will need for your binder. *3-4 inch binder, preferably with zipper and strap *sheet protectors-at least 16-4 per block *3 hole punch-flat-to fit in binder *pencil pouch with 3 holes for binder use *at least three pencils at all times *at least two pens at all times-1 blue-1 black *thin highlighters to fit in pencil pouch *tabbed subject dividers *1 pocket homework folder *small post-it notes *loose leaf paper

Essentials of English Essentials of English (overview) • An introductory course, • A survey of literary genres, • Writing practice • Vocabulary acquisition; root knowledge and usage, • Mastery of parts of speech and sentence structure. As your teacher I will do all I can to help you meet and exceed the standards for this course, but ultimately the responsibility rests on you. Always put forth your best effort. I expect great things from you! Materials Required: • 1G Flash/jump drive will be helpful with power points and essays; highlighter; composition notebook; AVID materials (please refer to separate list). • Wish List:Paper towels,index cards, color markers, tissues, construction paper, glue, art paper, baby wipes or “Clorox” wipes (great for the white boards, phones, desks, computers, etc.) • Please do not feel obligated to go out and buy these items; we can certainly use any of these if you already have extras around the house  • Due to budget issues and number of copies we’re allowed, you will be required to print or download/handwrite materials from my school center page. Everyone is facing hard times right now in some way or another. Let me know if you’re having trouble and I can help. You will have access to school computers.
