ELABORACIÓN DE OBTURADORES PALATINOS CON ADITAMENTOS DE PRECISIÓN INTRODUCCIÓN • Los obturadores palatinos, son dispositivos que reparan los defectos mediante la ocupación del espacio creado como consecuencia de la pérdida o ausencia de tejido en el maxilar superior. • Los aditamentos, son retenedores que constan de dos partes que van incluidos; una parte en la prótesis removible y la otra en los dientes que servirán de pilares; los cuales, garantizan la sujeción de la prótesis y sirven para la transmisión de las fuerzas funcionales y parafuncionales sobre los dientes pilares. ELABORACIÓN DE OBTURADORES PALATINOS CON ADITAMENTOS DE PRECISIÓN CONCLUSIONES • Los obturadores con aditamentos de precisión son mas estéticos al eliminar el retenedor vestibular sin perder estabilidad o retención. • Se ofrece una mejor calidad de vida al paciente al hacer menos visible la prótesis. • La prótesis máxilofacial es una pieza importante en la rehabilitación bucal y en el desarrollo de nuevas técnicas y métodos que ofrezcan el mejor tratamiento al paciente.
