THE LEADER APPROACH GOES ON … After the Leader I (1988 – 1993) Not implemented in Emilia Romagna region, but only in the South of Italy; After the Leader II (1994 – 1999) Implemented only in the rural areas of the Emilia Romagna region (Objective 5b); After the Leader + (2000 – 2006) Implemented only in the mountain and delta areas of the Emilia Romagna region Now, Leader – Axis 4 (2007 – 2013) Part of the new EAFRD of the European Union 2007 – 2013

  6. LAGs in EMILIA ROMAGNA 5 LAGs have been approved and financed with a public contribution of 9.5 million of € each

The Axis 4 is fulfilled through the Local Action Plans (LAP) • the Leader funds allow to support the projects foreseen by a specific plan, called Local Action Plan (LAP); • 50% of the funds are addressed to actions and activities quoted by the Regional Authority; • 50% of the funds are addressed to specific projects selected after a consultation of the main social and economic stakeholders at local level; • the LAG has the responsibility of the management of all the actions foreseen by the Local Action Plan

The Local Action Plan of the LAG“Antico Frignano e Appennino Reggiano”Some examples of calls to present projects 1 – Agriculture: support to plant chestnut trees; 2 – Craft and SMEs: wood processing; 3 – Renewable energies and environment: promotion of the energies from agricolture; 4 – Services for citizens: ENTERPRISE project – European Business Game - promotion of the entrepreneurship to students; 5 – Tourism: promotion of the rural and farm for tourist hospitality.
