Verbs • Verbs are verbs that show the name of the acts committed by the subjects, but may also indicate the circumstances. • As you know, every sentence has two parts, the subject and the predicate. • The key word in the predicate is the verb. • The verb tells what the subject of the sentence is, has, does, or feels

  3. example: • Burt worksat the park. • He trims the trees. • He loveshis job. • He paints the benches. • My brother studies in japan

  4. Regular verbs are verbs change according to the form of the verb tense and change it regularly. Examples of this type of change is : - Call - called - called - Admit - admitted - admitted - Submit - submitted - submitted - Invite - invited - invited Regular verbs

  5. Examples using the verb “walk”: • Past Tense: I walked through the maze. • Past Participle: I have walkedthrough the maze.

  6. Irregular verbs • Irregular verbs are verbs that have the same functionality but with the regular verb is a verb changes irregularly • Examples of this type of change is : • Read - Read - Read • Come - came - come • Begin - began - begun • Sleep - slept - slept

  7. Irregular verbs are not that simple. We sometimes need a dictionary to help us write the different forms of irregular verbs. • Examples using the verb “see”: • Past Tense: We saw the secret maps. • Past Participle: We have seen the secret maps.
