  2. Goal #1 • Mountain people are empowered to effectively raise their voices in national, regional, and global processes and platforms;

  3. Goal # 2 • Natural and cultural resources and sacred/unique landscapes are conserved and promoted for improved livelihoods

  4. Goal # 3 • Mountain communities and ecosystems are supported to better adapt to global changes (including climate change)

  5. Goal # 4 • Informative, reliable, and interactive knowledge hub operated to fulfill the needs of the MP members from all mountain regions

  6. Goal # 5 • Mountain agenda as articulated in Rio+20 declaration is mainstreamed in global multilateral environmental agreements (MEAs) and processes

  7. Goal # 6 • Mountain perspectives are included in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)and revised MDGs of the United Nations
