Founded in 1971, Matrix Settles is a leading full service architecture, interior design and facilities strategic planning firm headquartered in Arlington, VA with offices in Washington, DC, Annapolis, MD, and Los Angeles, CA. Steven L. Biegel, AIA, LEED AP, Managing Principal, is widely known in the Washington, D.C. architectural community for his leadership abilities, new business development and project management skills. He is the author of book entitled Profit by Design. He also authored a portion of the Encyclopedia of Architecture, Design & Construction entitled “Roofing and Roofing Systems”, published by McGraw-Hill. Mr. Biegel received his Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, and furthered his studies at the University of Virginia, Catholic University, and George Washington University. Craig Purcell, AIA. LEED AP, Principal, leads our new office in Annapolis, MD. Mr. Purcell is a registered Architect in the State of Washington and Maryland. Mr. Purcell has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of Virginia. In 1988, Mr. Purcell traveled the world doing various retail driven mixed use and planning projects for various companies in Cincinnati, Seattle, and Baltimore. Prior to joining Matrix Settles, Mr. Purcell was a Senior Designer/Associate with Development Design Group.
