  2. How did we get here? • Too many email addresses? • Locked into to your Internet Service Provider • bobbins@btinternet.com • Virus protection • Security?

  3. Email issues? • Viruses • Why do people try to put viruses on my computer? • Why is my email so important? • You effectively purchase things on it • It probably resets your Amazon & ebay accounts • These goods can go to another delivery address • So YES, email security • and your password complexity is important!

  4. Why Gmail? • Mobile phone integration – Contacts/Calendar/SMS • Superior method of dealing with lots of email • Ability to have other emails come into inbox • bobbins@btinternet.com • whatever@yahoo.com • mark1278@hotmail.com • Anti-virus security • Email security. ← full stop (I'll do a demo at this point)

  5. The hard bit • Think of an email address • bobbins@gmail • Think of a password • http://www.adesktopaday.com • → security • → website-passwords • Use mnemonics for words that only YOU or few would know, such as your first car, your favourite railway station, city, country visited, person you first kissed. Not your mother's maiden name or birthday of your father.
