  3. Institutional Arrangements • Within countries, close co-operation between all national agencies involved in compilation of statistics on int’l. trade in goods and services, with clear responsibilities, aligned work plans and binding work arrangements

  4. Data production -- goods • Identification number to link international transactions with business registers • Data elements and customs records • Use of administrative data sources (register linkages or integrated enterprise surveys available in data warehouses)

  5. Data production -- services • Resident/non-resident – BOP+ • More detail (CPC…) • Data collection frameworks • Coordinated for both goods and services to provide info on trade, production, and prices • Business functions, producer confidence… • Regular FATS data compilation • Link with other statistical domains (avoid stove-pipe…)

  6. Data dissemination • Harmonised data dissemination schedules • Trade data by enterprise characteristics, according to CPC, ISIC and partner • Allocation of services transactions to MoS • Trade and business statistics linkages for studies on TVA • Intra-firm trade, Mode of Transport

  7. Challenges • Separate compilation efforts • Resource allocations • Confidentiality
