  1. The Step-by-Step Process toELECTRONIC FILING Office of the Code Reviser

  2. Agency Responsibility • You are responsible to make sure that any e-mail sent to office of the code reviser arrives in time to meet the timelines in WAC 1-21-040. An e-filing document will not be considered as arriving until it is received the office of the code reviser. If your filing is time-sensitive and you have not received a confirmation e-mail, please contact our office immediately. • If you have any difficulties, please contact Kerry Radcliff, (360) 786-6697, Radcliff.Kerry@leg.wa.gov; or Jennifer Meas, (360) 786-6698, Meas.Jennifer@leg.wa.gov.

  3. Step 1 • Complete the registration letter and filed the original with us. A template in Word is provided on the office of the code reviser web site at http://www1.leg.wa.gov/CodeReviser/ Washington+State+Register. When at the register web site, select E-Filing. • Either mail (P.O. Box 40551, Olympia, WA 98504-0551) or hand deliver (Pritchard Building, LL6) the registration letter to our office. • IMPORTANT: Electronic or faxed copies will NOT be accepted.

  5. Complete the appropriate CR-form. A template in Word is provided on the E-Filing web site. Scan the official signature and insert in the CR-form document. Step 2

  6. Step 2 cont. • Any attachments to the CR-form should be completed in Word.

  7. Step 3 • Only one complete document per e-mail. A document includes the completed CR-form, any Word attachments, and/or any OTS .pdf documents. E-mail these to EFILEWSR.leg.wa.gov. This will be the only e-mail address that will accept e-filings. • In the subject line, put the issue number (example 06-10).

  8. Step 4 • A confirmation will be sent confirming that your e-mail has been received. This confirmation e-mail will be sent back to the sender’s e-mail address. Please note: If your filing is time-sensitive and you have not received a confirmation e-mail, please contact us immediately for assistance.

  9. You will receive an official e-mail sent to the e-mail address provided on the registration letter. This e-mail will also be sent to the joint administrative rules review committee (JARRC), if it contains a proposed, expedited, emergency, or permanent rule. These documents should be printed and placed in your official rule-making file. Step 5

  10. A .pdf copy of the CR-form with the office of the code reviser stamp attached. This e-mail will contain: Step 5 cont.

  11. Step 5 cont. • A .pdf copy of any Word documents that were attached to your e-mail.

  12. Step 5 cont. • The .pdf order typing service document that you attached to your e-mail.
