  • Enable sailors with disabilities who have limited strength or coordination to act as the main trimmer and participate in the joy of sailing, through the creation of an adapted sailing device.

  • With a 5 person team, students should design and build a working prototype that meets the specifications within the constraints.
  • Ideal Team-

  • Financial – all of the major components have been benchmarked for cost. Design is possible with the requested budget.
  • Time- Project Scoped to allow team to complete within Senior Design 1 & 2 especially if run on semesters.
  • Skill Constraints- Design feasible for team with requested skill set, electromechanical device requires some background in Controls.
