Workforce Development Programme Aims • Capacity Building : To work in collaboration with SSSC and other key partners in order to build workforce capacity and leadership in voluntary sector social services providers. • Influence : To improve the impact voluntary sector social service providers are able to make on the national workforce policy agenda, through acting as a voice of, and advocating for, their interests.

  4. Leadership • Capacity Building – ‘Step into Leadership’, ACOSVO research & exchanges, Local Practitioners. • Influence – ‘Step into Leadership’ middle managers reference group, HR benchmarking survey, Strathclyde University research, CCPS Provider Optimism survey

  5. Self-directed support • Capacity Building – through Providers & Personalisation programme, workshops, business support (HR & Finance) events. • Influence – SDS Workforce Board and implementation sub-groups

  6. Integration • Capacity Building – awareness raising through workshops, newsletters, website and 1:1 interviews • Influence – Position Paper, presentations, indicators for ‘engaged workforce’ outcome

  7. Registration and Regulation • Capacity Building – awareness raising of housing support & care at home registration timetable & online tool, Care Inspectorate workforce requirements, VSDF. • Influence – NOS for commissioning. procuring & contracting consultation, National Care Standards consultation, SSSC Workforce Data group.

  8. Impact : promoting the voluntary sector workforce • Social Services Expo (Edinburgh) • Tuesday 18th March 2014 • Volunteer to showcase your work in the CCPS break out room!
