Our survey • Explore awareness and use of e-cigarettes amongst 13-18 year olds in Wales • Look at the possibility of e-cigarettes as a gateway to smoking • The online survey ran from 4th November 2013 until 31st January 2014; 740 respondents of whom 671 fell within the age range specified Towards a Tobacco Free Wales Tuag at Gymru Ddi Dybaco

Evidence from elsewhere Existing body of information is limited ASH (2013) study found that no young people who had never smoked reported continuous e-cigarette use A study from America found that 2.9% of non-smokers had ever used e-cigarettes (Choi & Forster, 2014). A study in Poland looked at e-cigarette use amongst young people: it found that one-fifth of respondents had tried an e-cigarette at some point, this dropped to 3.2% among those who had never smoked a cigarette Towards a Tobacco Free Wales Tuag at Gymru Ddi Dybaco
