  1. My Multi-camera production

Proposal- BATTLE OF THE CELEBS • My developed idea will be a mixture of a game show and a chat show all in one. • The main goals and targets of my show are to produce comedy for its audience, ranging from teenager to middle aged adults (roughly 16-45). • The show will feature two teams of celebrities which will compete against each other, through a variety of mental and physical challenges to score points. • The location of my show will be filmed in a studio and will be live with an audience present to improve the atmosphere.

Talent and Crew • The cast will consist of two presenters, four guest celebrities and two team leaders (one for each of the two teams) • The four celebrities will be split up in to two teams of two, with each team consisting of a team leader and two celebrities. • There will be four camera operators, for each one of the four cameras recording the show. • Lighting and visual inserts will also need to be controlled by specific crew members.

  4. Content Ideas • The questions will come in categories, which will range from pot luck, song lyrics, movies, sport, history and TV. The green screen will be used to show the questions being asked, and inserts that are used during the production. • The physical challenges will be pre recorded and inserted into the programme whilst it is live, some physical challenges, if simple, can be done during the programme. • Each team will be given a buzzer which they will use in order to answer a particular question, presenters will judge which team buzzed first.

Visual Style • The show will consist of a multi- camera format, filmed by four individual cameras. • I decided to use multi- camera rather than a single camera format as it will be less time consuming, and there will be less chance of continuity errors as the camera angles will already be set up and arranged. Camera transitions must also be fast tempo to make sure that any action on screen is not lost. • I took inspiration from BBC 1’s show “ Question Of Sport” Here’s an example of what I have based the visual style of my show around http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZgtI3p-_xQ

  7. Presentation Style • After researching other game shows, I like the way in which “Ant and Dec's Saturday night takeaway” is presented. This example of Ant and Dec’s comical presentation during the show, makes it enjoyable and interesting to watch.   8. Costs • Most of the facilities and equipment that I will need for my show, will already be provided, therefore the costs will be reasonably cheap. I will have to spend money on any props needed such as set decorations.

Basic Script • Presenter 1- HELLO ladies and gentlemen and welcome to our brand new show, Battle of the celebs. • Presenter 2- This evening we have four celebrities that we will be welcoming on to the show. Competing for team one, my first two celebrities this evening are…musical star Professor Green and wonderful wizard Emma Watson. (Audience clap) • Presenter 1- Welcome to the show guys, are you excited? • Professor Green- Absolutely buzzing boys, me and Emma have already discussed the game plan. • Presenter 2- Excellent, well shall we see who you’re up against? • Emma Watson- Bring them out! (cheers from the audience) • Presenter 1- Ok so our next two celebrities competing against Emma and Pro Green here are, top gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson and I’ve heard Jeremy is very happy about this next guest, it’s the gorgeous Keira Knightly. (audience cheers) • Presenter 2- Guys thanks so much for appearing on our show tonight. • Jeremy Clarkson- No… Thank you (staring at Keira) (audience laughs) • Keira Knightly -Thank you for having us!
