STEPS IF YOU ARE NOT A WCPSS STUDENT, REGISTER AT THE OFFICE OF STUDENT ASSIGNMENT IN CARY • COMPLETE PRE-APPLICATION ONLINE • DELIVER TO THE SCHOOL: PREVIOUS TWO YEARS REPORT CARDS, EOGS FOR READING AND MATH OR AN EQUIVALENT STANDARDIZED TEST IF YOU HAVEN’T TAKEN EOGS, AND ANY SPECIALIZED LEARNING PLANS SPECIFIC TO YOUR CHILD’S NEEDS (IEP, 504, PEP) • COMPLETE THE ONLINE MAGNET APPLICATION

Helpful Hints • Please read all directions and enter your information CAREFULLY. • Have your child’s or children’s student ID #s close at hand. • Have the names and email addresses of your students previous English/LA teacher, Math Teacher, and Administrator before starting. • You may apply to more than one early college or academy with this one application.

Due Dec. 6 Paper Materials • You may need your school counselor’s help getting the academic records you need, so don’t wait until the last minute. • A copy of the records from home is sufficient. • In one envelope, combine report cards, test scores. • Hand deliver or mail these items to each school to which your child is applying. • Please write: Application for “Student Name” on the envelope • Applications will not be processed until all materials complete.

  9. Magnet Online Application • The completion of the magnet online application is a required part of the application process. Student’s cannot be selected unless this final step is complete. • The Magnet Online Application will be available on the WCPSS website from January 28 – February 9, 2014. Due Feb 9
