GCSE results 2009 • %5+ A*-C - Derby average up 2.1% on last year’s figure (63.7% 2008, 65.8% 2009) • Nationally, the result was up 4.4% (65.3% 2008, 69.7% 2009) • %5+ A*-C including English and mathematics - Derby City’s average down 4.1% on last year’s figure (49.4% 2008, 45.3% 2009) • Nationally, the result is up 2.1% (47.6% 2008, 49.7% 2009)

GCSE results 2009 • Average uncapped points score - Derby City’s average is up 18.9 points on last years figure (391.2 2008, 410.1 2009) • Nationally, the result is up 21.0 points (390.0 2008, 411.0 2009)) • Comparator authority analysis – Derby is now ranked 6th out of 11 for %5+ A*-C and % 5+ A*-C including English and mathematics
