  1. HARTING, one of the most renowned names in the sensor and connector industry, has now come up with a new product – the RF-R3x0 UHF RFID reader – that combines extremely robust compact design with software flexibility. Based on the extremely robust MICA edge computing system, HARTING’s new RFID reader is now more flexible and adaptable with the addition of a whole range of new features. This new RFID reader is installed with M12 circular connectors and pressure-cast aluminum housings, which makes it durable enough to meet the latest demands and requirements. These new elements undergo special product testing and approval procedures in the HARTING Group’s certified laboratories, which is why there are no more obstacles to tool recognition by an injection-moulding machine or platform detection in a tram system. Additionally, the flexible software concept means that the unit can be switched to a completely different application with only a few clicks. This new software concept also enables more functions to be added. Depending upon the application, the correct function can be easily activated, because in RFID applications, the devices are already pre-setup. Moreover, this new product is also available with W-LAN, 3G/4G (LTE), and Bluetooth, as an alternative to wired Ethernet communication. Thus, it has become even easier to integrate and use the UHF RFID technology in a wide range of applications. Whether in forklift applications, train identification in a shunting yard, or in retrofitting installed tracking and tracing solutions, wireless connections can now replace Ethernet cabling. Data can also be sent directly to the Cloud via LTE, without any complicated integration in the existing IT infrastructure.

  2. This new UHF RFID reader is based on four basic versions – 1.The LLRP 1.1, which is designed to connect to HARTING’s Ha-VIS middleware 2.A unit with OPC UA support that meets the Companion Specification for Auto ID devices to ensure uniform connection to ERP and PLC systems 3.A Modbus TCP version for easy connection to PLC systems, both old and new 4.A version containing embedded middleware for complete standards-based data pre- processing Various communication facilities like database connections, Web services, and UDP and TCP telegrams are available for configuration, which make it very easy to create additional project-based or industry-specific solutions. This versatile system has applications ranging from a simple PLC connection to the integration of signals with an ERP system, or a connection to a train control system. So, you can see how this new product from HARTING has made a significant enhancement to the brand’s range of robust and railway-tested UHF RFID readers! Along with this versatile system, HARTING today offers 14 different UHF RFID readers. You can get the most varied kinds of HARTING products at Alltronix, the most trusted , where we offer the best quality circular HARTING distributor in Pune connectors, data connectors, electronic connectors, heavy duty connectors, modular rectangular connectors, power connectors, encoders, current sensors, PCB terminals, and high speed backplanes.
