  2. Black Canyon of the Gunnison National park is 32,985 acres.

  3. The Black Canyon is the darkest ruggedest canyon formed by the Gunnison River . despite that many animals live here.

  4. Peregrine Falcons can reach speeds of 200mph while in a dive towards prey.

  5. Great Horned Owls can eat skunks. They have very good eyesight to scope out prey.

  6. Mountain Lions sit on top of the food chain . They are usually a cinnamon color which helps them camouflage themselves .

  7. Mule deer have big feet to help it stand on top of the snow. They have a very good sense of smell.

  9. The rocks here are over two billion years old. The narrowest part of the canyon is only 40 feet wide .
