Clear a Paper Misfeed - Toshiba Copier Troubleshooting Toshiba copiers are not immune from experiencing a paper misfeed issue, just like any other printing and copying equipment from various manufactures. And with that is what we will be dealing with. If you ever encounter a paper misfeed issue with your Toshiba machine—which I hope you never do—this is how to solve it. It won't be as difficult to fix a paper misfeed on your Toshiba printer/copier if you just follow these simple procedures. Your Toshiba copier will immediately stop printing or copying if a sheet of paper is loaded incorrectly. Your touch panel will also alert you, and an error notice with a picture that identifies the area of your printer with the misfed paper will appear.

The paper can be misfed in your printer at a number of locations: • Reversing Automatic Document Feeder (optional) (lower) • Reversing Automatic Document Feeder (optional) (upper) • Fuser unit • Automatic duplexing unit • Drawer feeding portion • Large Capacity Feeder or Paper Feed Pedestal (both optional) • Paper transport path • Drawers or drawer of the Large Capacity Feeder (optional) • Job Separator, Offset Tray or Bridge Kit (all optional) • Hole Punch Unit (optional) • Saddle stitch unit (optional) • Finisher (optional) • Bypass tray

  3. 1. To fix the paper misfeed, you should adhere to the instructions provided on your Toshiba copier's touch screen. The pages can be scrolled by pressing the up and down buttons. 2. Take care to slowly remove the misfed paper with both hands while avoiding shredding it. Additionally, make certain that the equipment is free of any remaining fragments of shredded paper. 3. When you have already eliminated the paper misfeed sign but it still appears on the touch panel. Review the touch panel once more, and see if any other components of your printer had paper that was misfed.

  4. 4. When removing a paper misfeed, take care not to touch the fuser unit or the metal part around it. 5. You should also never contact the photoconductive drum. After correcting the misfeed, close all of your Toshiba copiers' opening covers and allow the machinery to begin warming up.
