Profession • Worked for Digital Equipment Corporation( DEC) • FasFax (cash register manufacturer) • Co-founded Software Arts (Bob Frankston) • Chairman 1979-85 • President of Software Garden, Inc. 1985-present • Vice-President of Slate Corporation 1992 • Founded Trellix Corporation in 1995 • Serves as Chief Technology Officer

    4. While at DEC Project lead - WPS-8 Helped specify and develop the first word processing systems While working at Software Arts Designed the first spreadsheet program VisiCalc ( first killer app. for PC) for Apple 2 What he has done

    5. What he has done cont. • During his time at Software Gardens • Developed two programs for prototyping and simulating other pieces of software • Dan Bricklin’s Demo Program(1986) & Dan Bricklin’s Demo 2 Program(1987)

    6. What he has done cont. • 1989-created the “Dan Bricklin’s PageGarden Program” • Facilitates repetitive printing on laser printers • Helped create the OverAll Viewer • Reads data normally as text and displays it in a graphical format
