This meeting aims to finalize the capture of California's preemption to HIPAA in the Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for MMPA Release 2.0. MMPA R2 - Time Line revisited • TODAY: • Finalize capture of CA preemption to HIPAA in BAA today so that we can achieve the goal for R2 • Goal is to have a completed version of Release 2.0 to present to CalOHII for evaluation and public comment by April 26th • Intent is to have a 30 day public comment period • Present Release 2.0 at next California Stakeholder Forum to inform stakeholders on May 8 & 9 • Please be sure to register for the MMPA session the morning of May 8th if you will be attending the Forum.
