  8. JUSTIFICATION OF CHOOSING CoE SECTOR • WEST BENGAL IS THE GATE WAY FOR THE EAST AND NORTH EAST INDIA AND VERY MUCH WELL KNOWN FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES ALONG WITH JUTE, TEA, COAL & PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES. ALL THE INTEGRATED STEEL PLANT ARE EITHER LOCATED IN WEST BENGAL OR IN ITS HINTERLAND.

  9. CONTD. • MAJOR ENGINEERING WORKSHOPS OF INDIA ARE LOCATED IN AND AROUND KOLKATA. FURTHER MANY LARGE INFRASTRUCTURAL COMPANIES ARE OPERATING FROM KOLKATA . EVEN AT KALYANI THERE ARE SEVERAL LARGE ESTABLISHMENTS ON ENGINEERING WORKSHOPS, FABRICATION INDUSTRY ETC.

  10. CONTD. • INDIA IS ALSO CURRENTLY SEEN AS A OUT SOURCING HUB IN MANY INDUSTRIES INCLUDING ENGG. SERVICES, MANUFACTURING, SUPPLY OF SKILLED MANPOWER PARTICULARLY FOR FABRICATION (FITTING & WELDING) TRADE SECTOR.

  11. CONTD. • IN WEST BENGAL ALSO RAPID SPENDING ON INFRASTRUCTURE, INDUSTRIALIZATION HAS STARTED. GOVT. OF WB IS ALSO DETERMINED TO CONSTRUCT A CHEMICAL HUB OF WORLD CLASS.

  12. CONTD. FOR THE ABOVE REASON, THE INSTITUTE ITI, KALYANI IS COMMITTED TO EMPOWER EACH TRAINEE TO ACHIEVE ALL ROUND DEVELOPMENT THROUGH EXCELLENCE IN THE SECTOR FABRICATION (FITTING & WELDING).

STATUS OF EMF IMPLEMENTATION AT ITI LEVEL • CONDUCTED DIFFERENT AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON TREE PLANTATION AMONG THE STUDENTS • CONDUCTED CAMPUS CLEANING THROUGH DIFFERENT PROGRAMME OF NCC AT INSTITUTE LEVEL • PROPOSAL SENT TO THE HIGHER AUTHORITY FOR NECESSARY APPROVAL SO THAT INSTITUTE FRONT GARDENING AS WELL AS CAMPUS CLEANING MAY BE TAKEN CARE OF BY THE STATE BANK OF INDIA, KALYANI BRANCH FOR KEEPING OUR INSTITUTE ENVIRONMENT GREEN.

  23. STATUS OF EQUITY ASSURANCE PLAN • PROVIDED SC / ST STIPEND TO THE ELIGIBLE DISADVANGED GROUP TRAINEES • BY EXEMPTING TUITION FEES TO THE MERITORIOUS BUT POOR STUDENTS AS PER PREVAILING GOVT. NORM FOR REDUCING COST BURDEN ON SUCH STUDENTS.
