  • Faulkner enjoyed doing short stories for most of his writings.

  • He also liked to do plays and several different novels.

  • Most of his writing in which were fictional.


What were some tragedies in his life
What were some tragedies in his life?

  • William tried to join the air force, but was turned down because he was too short.

  • His novel “Flags in the Dust” was turned down by every publisher he went to also.

  • He had a 13 year affair with a young writer, Joan Williams.

  • He was influenced by his families history and were they lived.

  • He was later influenced by Sherwood Anderson into trying fiction.
