  2. Click on the Final Order link. Final Order

  3. Write down the PFAD number before you begin. This number is used to track the case before it is given a docket number. You do not need to fill in the caption information. PFAD will do this for you later. Enter the docket number if it is available. Final Order

  4. Enter the name of the defendant, date of birth and social security number, if available. Enter the name and birth date of the plaintiff and check the box if the plaintiff is also a protected person. Final Order

  5. Enter the names and dates of birth of all protected persons. Final Order

  6. Click on the More Protected People button to add more names. Check all boxes that apply to the relationship (s) between the defendant and the protected person (s). Final Order

  7. Enter any information about the appearances of the parties or their counsel. Final Order

  8. You can enter the date by clicking on the Today button. Final Order

  9. You can choose from any of the pre-defined court wording or move on without selecting any of the options provided. Final Order

  10. If a Final Order is denied you can click on the Clear all Relief button to clear out all of the denied relief for the printed order. Final Order

  11. Check the boxes next to the requested relief. Unchecked boxes will not appear on the printable and filed version of the order. Final Order

  12. Enter additional locations in the box. Final Order

  13. Be sure to enter the names of the children in the same order as they are listed about as protected persons. You can also add more children for the custody conditions by clicking on the More Children button. Final Order

  14. Be as specific as possible when providing details about visitation and custody exchanges. This can be a very dangerous time for the Plaintiff and the minor children. Final Order

  15. Check the box if the custody information in the PFA supersedes an existing custody order. Final Order

  16. Don’t forget to create a Petitioner’s Attachment A if a specific list of weapons to relinquish is provided by the Plaintiff. Final Order

  20. The 36 months button will calculate an expiration date 36 months from the entry date. You can also manually enter a date before 36 months but you should not enter a date after 36 months from the entry date. Check this box to print signature lines for the Plaintiff and Defendant to sign the order, if required by the judge when granting a consent or agreement order. Final Order

  23. Only the relief you selected on the worksheet will print on this order. Use the File, Print options to print from this window. Final Order

  24. The order will remain proposed until it is filed by the county filer. You can make changes to it until it is filed. Final Order
