  3. Not a biological phenomenon • Sin is not in our genes • Calvinism: • Total hereditary depravity • We are born sinners because Adam sinned and we are from Adam SIN

  10. Not transferable • Blaming others for our sin • Adam blamed Eve and Eve blamed serpent, Gen. 3:12-13 • Aaron blamed the people, Exo. 32:21-24 • Individual, Psa. 51:3; 32:5 (Ezek. 18:20; Jas. 1:14) SIN

  11. Causes separation • Man from God, Isa. 59:1-2 • Between people, Prov. 16:28 • Eternal separation, Rom. 6:23 • Forever away from God, heaven and eternal life, Matt. 7:23; 25:41, 46 SIN

  12. There is a remedy • Blood of Jesus, Heb. 9:13-14 (Eph. 1:7) • Victory in faith, 1 Jno. 5:4 • Obey Jesus, Heb. 5:8-9; Rom. 6:3-4 • Choose to combat and resist sin in your life, (Jas. 4:7) SIN

  13. There is a remedy • Fight against Satan and sin with the whole armor of God, Eph. 6:13-17 • Don’t let sin reign in your life, Rom. 6:12-13 • Be saved from your sins by Jesus (Rom. 5:12, 15; 6:3; Acts 22:16) SIN
