  2. Purpose • The purpose of the Study Efficiency Program is to assist students that are new to college and those that have had a deficient GPA in the past to be successful with their studies.

  3. Reasons you may be added to the SEP Earned a GPA lower than 2.5 Are an incoming Freshman Display poor study habits Any reason deemed appropriate by your counselor Volunteers

  4. Approved Monitors • South Hall • Any active duty Unit Staff member present • All other locations • Staff personnel located at front desk • Any other staff present in surrounding area

Instructions for SEP • Print the Study Efficiency Log (on the Battalion website) • “NROTC Starter Forms”  “Tracking Forms” ”Study Efficiency Log” • Go to one of the study locations, write the location and your check-in time within the proper blocks. • Use black ink only • Ask the monitor to please print and sign their name • To log out, follow the same procedure • Log your hours of study throughout the week (Sun – Fri) • Start date will always be the Sunday (even if you did not log hours on Sunday) • Print your name, hours required by your counselor and start date on your log • Once completed, give Study Efficiency Log sheets to your Plt Sgt at Battalion PT (the following Monday) *NOTE: Missed time = extra time for the next week i.e. 1 hour short=2 extra hours

  6. Platoon Sergeants!!! You are the main effort ***Ensure sheets are turned into the ACADO box NLT 0900 on Mondays*** Review all sheets to ensure hours are properly logged and signed for (annotate if not) and initial in top right corner

Tutoring Services • Pima Community College • Learning Service Center • Free, focus on Math, reading, writing skills • University of Arizona • Think Tank (Nugent Bldg) • Includes Math, Science, Languages, Writing, GenEds (INDVs, NATS, TRADs) • Both free/fee-based options available ($20-40/hr); bundled packages ($100-200) • Drop-in tutoring= student-student academic help • Appointments, group course reviews, test prep sessions (GMAT, GRE, LSATs) • Writing Skills Improvement Program • Various department offerings: CESL, Math, Strategic Alternative Learning Techniques (SALT) Center
