  2. Achieve3000 • Began as an innovative company to reach students 2-12 online • Assists more than 1 million students nationwide • Has branched to reach adult learners and L2 learners of English • Have branched into interdisciplinary studies • The products lines include:

  3. Proven to Achieve • Case studies determine raging success • Falls in line with success rates of online learning and preparedness for the future • Students are engaged with gamification and MOOC concepts • Students learn and succeed through diverse implementation: • Home • School • Library

Future of the organization • To accommodate full spectrum needs and learning modalities through the use of email interaction, and individual progress dashboards • Incorporate through the use of major email providers, and to integrate the use of international learning as a standard in the corporate catalogue.

  5. Current Situation • Currently this organization is servicing school districts across the country • Reaches students that range from k-adult • Complies with federal education testing regulations of the Lexile reading mandates • Services ELL students through email and gamification

  6. Goals of Achieve3000 • The next five years are crucial to expansion of the product: • The goal is to incorporate their technology to adapt to tablets and mobile devices. • Promoting and continue the incorporation of ELL programs

Achieving to look ahead • These goals are estimations of what could be, and to adequately assist and educate the public. • The future will be dependent on a few factors: • Economy • Need • Educational Policy • Barring any hindrances, Achieve3000 should be able to move ahead, reaching masses in a way that incorporates technology and promotes independent learning at any time.

Futuring • The future of education is moving in the direction of MOOC’s and use of mobile and tablet devices for on-the-go/just-in-time learning • Technique to track how new changes can be incorporated, or to propose their effectiveness is through Scanning • Trends help to identify how new technology can be used, and what will be needed for that technology to be successful

  9. Scanning • Using Scanning to track successes of a new technology • To incorporate new information and collaborative ideas • Catalogues proposed technology for use in specific areas

Projections for a future educational setting-2017 • Students will gain most content based instruction through the use of mobile and tablet devices • Registration and attendance for grades k-12 will skyrocket for online education • Textbooks will become scarce if present at all for certain areas (considering economics a factor) • Topics will be app based with devices • Teachers will be remote • Low income areas will maintain status quo-remain as they are now

  12. Learning online “classrooms” will possess the same learning modalities and tenets, but will no longer require physical attendance.

  13. Future students Trends • Future students will use mobile/tablet devices in order to gain content knowledge • Email and web-based learning will be primary means of communication and lessons

Future teachers • Teacher will have to be more cognizant of technology, its applications, and how to leverage the use to accommodate a mass number of students • MOOC’s will need to be regulated as opposed to teachers setting schedules • Higher education will bleed into secondary education as students find interests quicker • Skill sets and problem solving will be increased due to the technical traversing and mastering

Overall outcomes • The projection for the future of education is that students will have quicker and richer information • Learners will be able to cut out unnecessary work to target mastery content • Higher level of comprehension will develop due to the lack of politics and wasted time in a brick and mortar environment • Lower income school districts have the potential of suffering the most • Lack of funds to streamline their educational programs
