Webinar Agenda • An overview of the process and key requirements for matched individuals/couples and Cheon Il Guk Matching candidates to attend the Blessing • How to support couples who are considering or planning to attend the Blessing in Korea • How to best support intergenerational couples (couples in which one member is 1st gen and the other is 2nd gen) who wish to attend the Blessing • How to organize a meaningful and memorable Blessing Ceremony in your district/community for matched couples and their families planning to attend the Blessing in America • Q&A

Requirements for Matched Couples to Attend the Blessing • In order to complete Stage 2 of the application “Reporting Your Successful Match” • Matching Report • Individual & Couple Photos • In order to complete Stage 3 of the application “Registration For The Blessing” • Level 3 Blessing Workshop Certificate • Payment of Blessing Fee • Flight Information (If traveling to Korea)

Process for Matched Blessed Children, Who Did Not Complete Stage 1 of the Application Prior to Being Matched • Apply using “Family Matching Process” and select: I am a Blessed Child, yes to already matched, and yes to filling out the application for the first time • The application will have 2 stages (instead of 3) • Applicants will need to submit all the requirements outlined in the last slide, as well as: • Third page of their Purity Interview Form, with appropriate signatures • Health Forms and STD Test Results or Waiver Form

Cheon Il Guk Matching for Blessed Children • A Cheon Il Guk Matching will take place in Korea on February 7-9th 2014 • (We are anticipating that) True Mother will give education to, and facilitate the process of candidates selecting their own match • For information about, and requirements to participate in the CIG Matching visit the BFM website • Click “Cheon Il Guk Matching” under “Matching”

Application Process for Blessed Children Interested to Participate in the Cheon Il Guk Matching • Apply to be a candidate for the Cheon Il Guk Matching and register for the Blessing by selecting the “Cheon Il Guk Matching Process” on the online application • Attend the Cheon Il Guk Orientation Seminar in NYC or via Internet on January 18, 2014 • Can access registration page via BFM website

Requirements to Participate in the Cheon Il Guk Matching • Complete Stage 1 of the application by submitting: • Drivers License, Passport or other Official form ofIdentification • Level 2 Blessing Workshop Certificate • Health Forms and STD Test Results • Signature Page of Purity Interview Form • Photos: Head and Shoulders, Full Body, Family • Complete Stage 2 of the application by submitting: • Confirmation of Qualification for CIG Matching Form • Payment of Blessing Donation Form • Flight Information (If traveling to Korea)

Intergenerational Couples • Officially, True Parents have not given permission for 1st and 2nd generation to marry each other • However, intergenerational marriages are happening all over the world, and this category was included in the Foundation Day Forgiveness Ceremony last year. • Therefore, True Parents are aware of these marriages, and have made a way for these couples to receive the Blessing. • If the couple completes the conditions for the change of blood lineage, i.e. 7 day fast, indemnity stick ceremony, 40 day separation, and the 3 day Ceremony, than their children will be 2nd Generation

Ways for Intergenerational Couples to Receive the Blessing • Get legally married, and apply online using the “Process for Married Couples” • Very simple application, with very few requirements, and the payment of a small Blessing fee • The 1st gen applies online using the “Adult Unificationist Matching Process,” the 2nd gen applies online using the “Family Matching Process” • More in-depth application, with more stringent requirements, and the payment of regular Blessing fee

Significance ofAttending the Blessing in Korea • True Mother is hoping for many matched couples from all over the world to join her in Korea for this Blessing Ceremony, and celebration of the 1st anniversary of Foundation Day • She is especially looking forward to welcoming many couples from North America • It is a precious opportunity to receive the Marriage Blessing directly from True Parents • It is a once in a lifetime opportunity, that very few people in history will ever receive

Benefits of Attending the Blessing in Korea • Receive the Blessing directly from True Mother • A large, beautiful, professional Blessing event • Accommodations and food provided • Fun activities and entertainment provided • Opportunity to explore Cheong Pyeong • International experience – opportunity to meet matched couples from all over the world • Blessing rings can be purchased on-site

Blessing in Korea Travel Grant • Each matched individual is eligible to apply for a grant of $500 from HQ towards their travel expenses • Individuals apply online at bfm.familyfed.org • The deadline to apply is Sunday, December 22nd • With this grant individuals will have nearly the same Blessing related expenses whether they attend the Blessing in Korea or in America(including airfare) • Once approved, individuals receive their grant when they apply for the Blessing • $500 is deducted from their Blessing fee (Total = $1000)

Supporting Couples to Attend the Blessing in Korea • Encourage individuals/couples to purchase their plane tickets now in order to get the best price • To fully enjoy the pre- and post- celebratory activities, matched individuals/couples should plan to arrive in Seoul no later than Monday, February 10, 2014 and depart no earlier than Thursday, February, 13th • All accommodations, food and activities in Korea will be covered by their Blessing fee • More detailed information about what will be provided in Korea will be made available on the BFM website as soon as we receive it from Korea • Encourage individuals/couples to request time off from work/school for the dates they will be away. The sooner they make the request, the better

  15. The Blessing in the U.S. • Matched couples who cannot or prefer not to attend the Blessing in Korea can participate in their district or local community’s Blessing Ceremony via broadcast, on the evening of Tuesday, February 11, 2014 • There will not be a national ceremony!

Organizing a District or Community Blessing Ceremony • Start Planning Now! • Form a Blessing Ceremony Planning Team • Create a registration page for the event andask individuals/couples to register themselves and their guests ahead of time • Designate number of guests that can receive complimentary entrance to the event • Plan on receiving up to $500 per matched individual that participates in your ceremony

  17. Roles Needed for a Nice Blessing Ceremony Event • Officiator/emcee, who is experienced with the Blessing Ceremony protocol and schedule • Individual who understands the qualifications to receive the Blessing for 1st generation, who can give guidance to 1st generation couples about the indemnity stick ceremony, and facilitate the ceremony • Contact Ayako Heller at aheller@unificaton.org for more information/guidance about how to do this • Tech savvy individual, who can setup and manage the live broadcast of the Blessing ceremony in Korea • Registrar to warmly welcome and register all attendees • Attendees to sprinkle holy water

Components of a Nice Blessing Ceremony Event • Great location • Modern, elegant, with enough space to seat all guests comfortably and serve food • Options: Banquet hall, hotel conference space, country club • A tasty meal, presented in an elegant way • Options: professional caterer, or someone in your community with professional food preparation/service experience • Quality entertainment • UC or non-UC local performers • DJ & dance floor • Professional photo booth • A gift/favor for each matched individual/couple

How to Receive Funds for Your District/Local Ceremony • Send the following information to our National BFM at BFMadmin@unification.org: • Report of expenditures and copy of receipts for purchases of goods or services related to your ceremony • Report of the number of matched individuals/couples & guests that participated in the ceremony • You will be reimbursed up to $500 per matched individual that participated in your ceremony • If you spend less than $500 per matched individual, you will be reimbursed for the actual amount spent • If you spend more than $500 per matched individual, you will be reimbursed for $500 per individual
