This presentation investigates the history of rockets, tracing their origins from the earliest Chinese fire arrows in A.D. 1232 to the modern space shuttle. We will explore influential figures like Sir Isaac Newton and his groundbreaking laws of motion that explain how rockets operate. Learn about the forces at play that allow rockets to break free from Earth's gravity and achieve flight. Engaging diagrams aid understanding, and interactive word searches enhance learning about this remarkable journey through time and science.

History of Rockets Chinese fire rocket A.D. 1232 • The first rockets were made in China.A Chinese cook mixed some common ingredients together and made a fire arrow • Wan Hu, The sixteenth Century ,According to legend Wan Hu, a Chinese stargazer dreamed to go to space and one day he put 47 fire arrows on his chair lit them and set of to space and nobody saw him ever again
Newton’s law of motion Sir Isaac Newton was one of the greatest scientist and mathematics that ever lived. He was born in England December the 25th 1643 While at school Sir Isaac Newton became really interested in science and wrote Newtons law of motion. He had many ideas about gravity light and forces. Third law of motion For every action there is an equal and an opposite re-action This means for every force there is a re-action force that is equal in size but opposite in direction. Whenever an object pushes another object it gets pushed back in the opposite direction equally hard. THIS IS HOW ROCKETS FLY!!!
Forces on a rocket Rockets need to escape the Earths gravity – the force pulling objects towards Earth. To do this they must make a huge amount of thrust, the force that pushes the rocket upwards.
