  9. Voice • Tromorrow we will write a character sketch. I could write about my brother. How could I use a humorous tone to show how I feel about Kurt? I could write, “Kurt keeps up a steady stream of jokes at family dinners. He cracks up the whole room. Once, we both laughed so hard we spit soda across the dinner table! Our parents were not happy!” These sentences have a comic tone and show that I think Kurt is funny.
