  2. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 “Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

  3. The Nature of Stewardship And the Lord said, "Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time? 43 Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. 44 Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions.” ~Luke 12:42-44 • Faithfulness in the lesser, produces trust for the greater.

  4. Christians and Stewardship • The duty of trustworthiness, 1 Corinthians 4:1, “...it is required...” • Defines the gifts we have received from God “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” ~1 Peter 4:10

  7. Exercise Prompted Sincerity “I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” ~2 Corinthians 8:8-9

  8. Use Integrity In Purposing “For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a man has, not according to what he does not have. For this is not for the ease of others and for your affliction, but by way of equality” ~2 Corinthians 8:12-13 • Integrity in recognition (readiness) • Integrity in judging personal ability • Integrity in seeking equality
