  2. Great Job Friday! Redo Work Missing Grades

  3. Video

  4. Why am I pushing Open Response??? DATA

  5. Angle Relationships Adjacent Angles- two angles that lie in the same plane that share a common side and no interior points

  6. Complementary Angles Two angles whose measures have a sum of 90.

  7. Linear Pair • A pair of adjacent angles whose noncommon sides are opposite rays (they add up to 180)

  8. Supplementary Angles Two angles whose measures have a sum of 180

  9. Vertical Angles Two nonadjacent angles formed by two intersecting lines (all vertical angles are ≅)

  10. Adjacent Angles Two angles are adjacent if they share a common vertex and side, but have no common interior points. SIDE BY SIDE…shoulder to shoulder. Picture: 1 NO 2 YES

  11. Linear Pairs Two adjacent angles are a linear pair if their noncommon sides are opposite rays. They form a straight line… SIDE BY SIDE…shoulder to shoulder. Picture: 1 2

  12. Architecture Link • The John Hancock Center in Chicago, Illinois, contains many types of angles. Describe the highlighted angles.

  13. 1. Determine whether each statement is true or false. 1 2 FALSE

  14. 2. 4 5 TRUE

  15. 3. 6 3 FALSE

  16. C 4. 8 7 A T TRUE

  17. C 5. 8 7 A T FALSE

  18. A link to Science • Describe the illustrated angles in the spider web.

  19. Do you like to draw? • Does a career that involves drawing interest you? If so, you may enjoy a career as a drafter. Drafters prepare drawings and plans that are used to build everything from manufactured products like spacecrafts and structures like buildings.

  20. Lines that form right angles are perpendicular ⊥ Perpendicular lines intersect to form four right angles Perpendicular lines intersect to form congruent adjacent angles. Segments and rays can be perpendicular to lines or to other line segments and rays. The right angle symbol in a figure indicates that the lines are perpendicular.
