In the beginning of Rx 2000 (1999) • Structure along environmental lines • Three Intermediate level HQs in support of Land Forces • One Intermediate level HQ in support of Air Force • Direct support to the Navy from the CF H Svcs Gp HQ • Six National level Units • CF Transformation (2005) • Adoption of a Regional approach under Canada Command • Six distinct Regions • CF H Svcs Gp adopts a Two Intermediate level HQs model with a liaison cell in each Regions.

Role of Intermediate Level HQ • Provide Operational support to each of JTF regions during Domestic Ops • Coordinate Force Generation within their AOR • Decentralize Command and Control to the local H Svcs Gp Commander • Improves responsiveness and provides H Svcs advice and planning capability to JTF HQs
