YOUR AFRICAN ‘HOME STAY’… When you arrive in Africa, our company representative will collect you from the Kilimanjaro International Airport (unless otherwise specified) and take you on a 1 & 1/2 hour transfer to your ‘Home Stay’ in Marangu Village (Marangu Forest Lodge), awaiting your ascent to the ‘Roof of Africa’. It is recently completed (May 2009) and very relaxing and comfortable accommodation with five en-suite bedrooms (double capacity), a bar and restaurant, in a native African garden setting on the slopes of Kilimanjaro close to the famous Marangu Gate - where many climbers start their ascent. This ‘Home Stay’ (Marangu Forest Lodge) offers a unique short-stay accommodation service for travelers' who desire peace, quite and tranquility.
