  2. Airplane Tickets • We left on June 14 on our way to the Brazil World Cup. We were boarding Expedia airlines. Our airplane tickets when it came to the total for both of us was 3,798 dollars.

  3. Hotel • We are staying at a really fancy hotel in Rio De Janeiro for about a month. The total cost of it was 69,630 dollars.

  4. Transportation • We will be taking a taxi from match to match. The total cost was 707 dollars.

  5. Match’s • The three match’s we are going to are all in Rio De Janeiro. They are Argentina vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium vs. Russia, and finally Equator vs. France. The first one is on June 15, then June 22, and finally June 25. Our tickets were a total of 1050 dollars. Who will win? In all the total cost of everything was 74,469 dollars.

  6. Brazil’s Land • Brazil is made up of a large river called the Amazon River. The Central Highlands is a plateau that rises southward from the river. Brazil has one of the most extensive river systems in the world. Brazil is also made up of the largest rainforest of the world, The Amazon Rainforest.

  7. Brazil’s Economy Brazil’s economy is the best in all of South America with large and growing Agricultural, mining, manufacturing and service sectors. As a result of falling real wages during 2001 to 2003 the economy of Brazil grew only 2.2% per year average.

  8. Brazil’s Climate • Brazil landscape as well as the proximity to the coast, the climate varies somewhat from region to region. There are five distinct climatic zones. An equatorial climate is usually in rainforests, as its name implies, this climatic zone is found in the tropics. The Semi-Arid Zone receives less rain than they actually need to make up for evaporation, but not so much less that the area becomes a desert. The Highland Tropical Zoneis also called an Oceanic Climate or a Maritime Climate and is found along the coast of Brazil The Subtropical Zone areas are just outside of the formal Tropical Zones.

Government/Politics • Brazil now enjoys the political rule of a democratic government. • The president, who is elected by popular vote for a four-year term (and may serve two terms), is both head of state and head of government. The 81 senators are elected for eight years and the 513 deputies are elected for four years.

  10. History Of Brazil • Historians and scientists have discovered that communities of people were living in what is now known as Brazil as long as 8 000 years ago. Individual indigenous tribes and settlements numbered around 2 000 when the Portuguese first discovered Brazil, as it came to be known. Coffee and sugar became major products of Brazil, giving the locals work and establishing the country within the world’s economy.

  11. History Of The World Cup In Brazil The only other time Brazil has hosted the World Cup was back in 1950.

  12. Our Team Italy The coach of Italy’s soccer team is CesarePrandelli he has led this team to most victory’s. Italy went to the World Cup 18 times and have won 4 times. Also appearing in two finals reaching third place. The population of Italy is about 61,000,000. Gianluigi Buffon, Stephan El Shaarawy, Giuseppe Rossi, Mario Balotelli and Pablo Osvaldo are the main stars of the team. Italy is considered to be one of the best national teams in the world. The team does not have a designated "home stadium" like certain national teams.
