Carmelo Anthony Carmelo Anthony finally got his wish to play for the New York Knicks. Would he have clamored as much for a move to the Big Apple if he did not get to play alongside Amar'eStoudamire? He may get his chance to see what the Knicks would look like without the services of Stoudamire, who was hit with his 16th technical foul of the season in Thursday night's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Stoudamire picked up the technical foul when he got tangled up with Mavs' center, Brendan Haywood. The two players were so surprised that the lack of action resulted in a double technical foul being called by Bennett Salvatore that they walked away laughing. Stoudamire feels as if the technical foul call will be rescinded, resulting in him being allowed to play when the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. But if it is upheld, then Anthony will get the chance to carry this team. While they still need to work on their chemistry issues on the court, I strongly feel that Anthony needs Stoudamire more than Stoudamire needs Anthony. Part of me is hoping that the tech is actually upheld, giving us all the chance to see if Anthony can run New York the way he has always dreamed.
