  4. Upcoming Talks • Moriond - EWK • Les Arcs, France • 15-22 March 2003 • Request for talks on: • Top/W/Z in CDF • Searches for New Particles in CDF • B Physics in CDF • Moriond - QCD • Les Arcs, France • 22-29 March 2003 • Most likely talks for CDF (all cover CDF and D0 results) • SUSY Searches • Prospects for Higgs in Run 2 • Top Quark Production Cross Section • Measurements of W and Z Production Cross Sections • Charm Production • Measurements of the Masses, Lifetimes and Decays of B Hadrons • APS/DPF 2003 • Philadelphia • 5-8 April 2003 • (contact physics group conveners to submit abstract before 10 January 2003)

  5. Upcoming Talks • Lepton/Photon 2003 • Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Batavia, Illinois • 11-16 August, 2003 • LP2003 is all-plenary; there will be six Tevatron talks: • - top • - electroweak measurements • - Higgs and SUSY searches • - searches for other new physics • - QCD • - B-physics • If you would like one of these contact the relevant convener soon!

  6. Allocation of new disk space • Here are the assignments (each area is ~1 TB): • Physics group UNIX group Filesystem • ------------- ---------- ---------- • ewk cdfpewkd /cdf/data54/ewk • top cdfptopd /cdf/data60/top • exotics cdfpexod /cdf/data61/exotic • qcd cdfpqcdd /cdf/data62/qcd • bottom cdfpbotd /cdf/data63/bottom • The Physics Coordinator, Tony Liss, has indicated that a decision • has been made on the division of disk among the physics groups. • Glenn, please allocate an additional 1 TB to each of the five physics groups on fcdfsgi2: • ewk cdfpewkd • top cdfptopd • exotics cdfpexod • qcd cdfpqcdd • bottom cdfpbotd • This brings the toal allocated disk totals on fcdfsgi2 to • cdfpewkd 1 TB • cdfptopd 3.0 TB • cdfpexod 3.1 TB • cdfpqcdd 3.35 TB • cdfpbotd 4.25 TB • where 2.0 TB of the disk in cdfptopd is being shared by top and ewk.

  7. Joint Physics Meeting Agenda • Pre-blessing of High-Pt muon ID and trigger efficiencies - Michael Schmitt • Status of good run bits in the DB and how to use them - Rob Snihur • Understanding COT SL2 "questionable" runs - Young-Kee Kim

  8. CDF/D0 jet meeting • There will be a joint CDF/D0/theory jet meeting on Monday Dec. 16 from 9 AM-1 PM in One-West. We will take advantage of the presence that week of Zoltan Nagy to discuss evaluations of kT jet cross sections. In addition, we will finalize the changes to the mid-point jet algorithm and discuss the implications of these changes (led by Steve Ellis). The meeting will also be carried by live-streaming. • CDF/D0/Theory jet workshop Dec. 16, 2002 • http://www.pa.msu.edu/~huston/jet_meeting/jet_meeting.html • Live streaming is available here . • Schedule • 9:00-10:00 Building better jets Steve Ellis • 10:00-10:20 Update on Run 2 jets/plans for CDF Jay Dittmann • 10:20- 10:50 Developments with the cone algorithm in Run 2 John Krane • 10 minute break • 11:00-11:20 kT jets in Run 1, comparisons to NLO Daniel Elvira • 11:20-11:40 Plans for kT jets in Run 2 Markus Wobisch • 11:40-12:20 Three-jet calculation at NLO level for hadron colliders Zoltan Nagy • 12:20-12:40 Theoretical uncertainties in jet production Joey Huston • 12:40-1:00 Towards compositeness studies in Run 2 Don Lincoln • 1:00- Lunch/private discussions/Joey sleeps (owl shift)
