  2. Who we are • Serves the needs of the small business community throughout Maricopa County • Central location with 7 satellite offices at various locations throughout the valley(Avondale, Glendale, Surprise, Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Mesa and Chandler) • Emphasis on creating economic impact

  3. What We Do • One-on-One confidential business counseling at no cost. • Customized training programs to meet needs of diverse of business owners • Provides a wide variety of research- based business information services

Partners, Services and Programs • Provides training by offering a wide variety of workshops facilitated by either SBDC staff, expert guest speakers and partner organizations • Partners with a vast network of educational institutions, economic development organizations, chambers of commerce and other agencies • Provides research services accessing economic and statistical data, public/private financing opportunities and many other business services.

Clean Technology • Our Clean Technology Offers a six phaseprogram to assist Arizonasmall businesses withclean technology ventures.The process begins with atechnology assessment andthe development of an actionplan and continues throughaction plan implementation,marketing and the beta testingand actual production of cleantech products and services.

  7. Minority Diversity Program • Existing and aspiring woman and minority business owners, and/or Spanish speaking business owners in retail, wholesale, service, manufacturing, and/or construction that need comprehensive technical assistance. • Small and medium sized business owners and prospective owners of minority and/or woman-owned businesses to meet their needs in the development and implementation of programs.

  8. HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (LIFE) • HP Life is a unique program that uses real life examples of business problems, and shows how using technology can help solve those problems, and in turn help small businesses grow and succeed. This program features “hands on” use of computer station, provided through a donation by Hewlett-Packard Corporation, and focuses on the business problem rather than the software. HP LIFE workshops are Start-Up Lab and Small Business Academy.
