Agricultural chelates offer applications in fertigation, foliar, soil and others. Fertigation is the process of applying fertilizer or combination of nutrients to plants by micro-sprinkler or drip irrigation system. Fertigation helps in reducing soil erosion and water consumption by controlling fertilizer usage in agriculture. Fertigation technology has become popular across the world. Foliar plant spray method is a method where fertilizers are applied directly to the plant’s leaves rather than putting in soil. Chelated micronutrients and high quality soluble granular nutrients which consist of NPK are best foliar fertilizer. Foliar spray of Fe-HEDTA or Fe-EDTA chelated fertilizer helps in increasing content of amino acid in leaves. Most widely used chelated iron fertilizer is Fe-EDTA. Chelating agent has high affinity for positively charged nutrients and solubilize nutrients by enhancing availability & uptake of nutrients. Chelated micronutrients has proved to be highly effective in increasing quality and crop yield. Chelated formulas use protein molecules like chain of amino acids.
