Empowering the Muslim Community in Japan: Initiatives by World Assembly of Muslim Youth

This project, organized by the World Assembly of Muslim Youth, focuses on various strategies to support the Muslim community in Japan. Translation of Islamic materials, involvement of Japanese Muslims, and media outreach are integral to spreading awareness about Islam in Japan.

Group 1 • Making strategic plan every year, short/long term • Introduction of Islamic Teaching to Japanese Family • Financial Support for MSAJ • halal food • producing & Selling MSAJ stuff (t-shirt etc) • donation through website • using the general festival to sell good • to make the business list who is potential to help • contacting some Arabic country • Don’t call MSAJ as “massage”

Group 2 • Join individual people to MSAJ maling list rather than organization • Change website to blog like with multi language • Need volunteer • Make country, interest spesific MSAJ mailing list • Please be a messanger to your community and tell them about what happened here and contribute more • MSAJ has objective (concrete, measurable, time-bounded, doable

  4. Group 3 • Translation of Islamic words, article and make it as a pamphlet, distribute it to library, hotel, etc • Involve Japanese Muslim to MSAJ active member • Use all kind of media (newspaper, tv, internet) to spread Islam.
