  2. What Is Delta Airlines Buddy Pass? A Delta buddy passrefers to discounted tickets available to airline employees. Each year, employees receive these passes, which they can manage and book through an internal digital portal. However, it's important to note that a Delta buddy pass is not a guaranteed flight ticket but a standby travel option.

  3. How Does the Delta Buddy Pass Work? • To use the Delta Airlines Buddy Pass, members must first complete the Delta SkyMiles registration. Individuals 18 years or older are eligible to receive the buddy pass. • With Delta SkyMiles, members can earn rewards and redeem them for various services, such as: • Hotel stays • Upgrades on Delta flights • Delta Vacations • Transferring or gifting miles to family or friends • Access to exclusive events and local experiences • Purchasing checked luggage • Once a passenger is added to the Delta Amex Buddy Pass, the airline agent will request the Record Locator/Booking Reference to proceed.

  4. Rules & Regulations of the Delta Buddy Pass • Standby Passes: Each direction of travel requires a separate buddy pass. For example, flying from Chicago to New York via Charlotte would need two passes—one from Chicago to Charlotte and another from Charlotte to New York. • Standby Priority: Passengers with a buddy pass are placed at the lowest priority on the standby list. If the flight is full, you may be asked to wait for the next flight or up to 24 hours, depending on the season. • Baggage Allowance: The baggage allowance for buddy pass holders is the same as for other eligible passengers, based on service class and route. • No SkyMiles: Buddy pass travelers cannot earn or redeem Delta SkyMiles for their flights. • Seat Selection: Passengers with a buddy pass cannot select seats in advance and may not be seated together, especially when traveling with children. • Peak Season Delays: During busy travel times like Christmas, Thanksgiving, or New Year’s Eve, buddy pass travelers may face flight delays or be denied travel for 24-48 hours. • .
