    • King Phillip became very jealous of their prosperity
    • On “October 13th 1307” King Phillip arrested the Templars
    • This made the superstitions of the Friday the 13th
    • King Phillip tortured until they spat on the cross
    • Jacques de Payne confessed to false charges and by the pope was burned on a stake

All in all the Templar Knights were some of the most praised and formidable opponents on the battle field. We have learned about their cause , how they were established and about their legacy that is still with us today.
