  3. Wiki feedbackOOPS! • You guys were stomping on each other without really knowing it • The way things WERE working was like this • The first guy uploads Project1a.mp3 • The second guy uploads Project1a.mp3 ... this uploads the second guys stuff OVER the first guys stuff!!!

NEW!Wiki Naming Conventions To get to your student space use this url: http://wiki.ggc.usg.edu/mediawiki/index.php/JimRowan:emailLoginName For example: http://wiki.ggc.usg.edu/mediawiki/index.php/JimRowan:cjones1 To upload your stuff to the wiki use this naming convention: yourLoginNameYourFileName.xxx For example: pbartonMyPodcast.mp3

NEW!Wiki Page Creation Conventions To create a new page from your student space: [[JimRowan:emailLoginName:newPageName | newPageName]] For example: [[JimRowan:cjones1:My spare time! | My spare time! ]] will cause a link called “My spare time!” to appear on the wiki page. Clicking this will create a new page for the student cjones1 UNDER her student space page called “My spare time!” To add a page about Bowling to the My spare time! page: [[JimRowan:cjones1:My spare time!:Bowling! | Bowling!]] This will cause a link to the page called “Bowling!” to appear on the “My spare time!” page

  10. How? Go to the page you want to redirect from, edit it and put in the redirect command: Here I went directly to: http://wiki.ggc.usg.edu/mediawiki/index.php/User:JimRowan edited it and put #REDIRECT [[JimRowan]] in the edit window.

  11. Test...Quiz...Exam... There will be a test Tuesday... Covering Chapters 1-3 only (not covering the projects) The newly reorganized wiki with your picture, the table and your podcast will be checked (and therefore due) on Wednesday, 5:00pm.

  12. Wiki site feedback(in general) • make sure your tables are arranged with the project links on the left and your picture on the right • From now on: put reverse links from each of your pages to the previous page all the way back to the class page
