See me if you are having trouble. • TFA Homework Assignment. • Finals study guides at end of class. • Vocab Quiz 30= Crossword/Spelling. • Have the following in the basket before you leave today: • Your blue notebook • Your short story packet If it is late, you will get late points! See me at the end of class if you need a pass to work on this. If you were absent and we discussed the work, you are excused for an extra day.

  3. Write What You Know • For your assigned story, write down/make note of the following: • Mood • Plot • Setting • Characterization • Conflict • Resolution • Theme

  4. On the board, we will be writing down on the chart where each element should go. If an element from The Long Exile and The Piece of String are similar, it will go in the middle.

Worrying about what others think will cause ruin, those considered guilty in the public eye will always be seen as guilty. • Bleak, injustice • Protagonist: Ivan Aksionov • Sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. • Town of Vladimir, has a shop • Dies in prison before the truth is revealed. • Forgiveness is powerful, revenge does not help those who have been wronged.

  6. Interview: Ivan Aksionov or MaitreHauchecorne? • How do you feel about revenge on those who have wronged you? • I shouldn’t seek revenge. What if that person is truly innocent? • I just want my name cleared. He framed me! He really did! He’s the crazy one! • How do the people around you feel about you? • Nobody believes me.
