  5. The Volunteer Office The center in charge of all the volunteering opportunity within the hospital for medical and non medical members of the society. It accommodates some of humanitarian needs provided to patients. Promotes health education in the society.

  19. Conclusion The presence of volunteers in the ER could improve the Safety and quality of care to our patients in the ER. Integrating Patient Safety principles into the guidelines set for volunteers at the Office’s meetings could serve to set a clear objective to the volunteer, and build more effective team players

  20. Recommendations Training volunteers should include: Triage priorities; Common miscommunication; Near hospitals Making use of senior students Catering the waiting area e.g. Vending machine Re conducting a study on the effect of volunteers
